Building Boat Cradle






Cut two 2-inch by 6-inch boards to 2 1/2 feet long. lay the boards across the middle of the cradle feet, resting an edge of each board near the center and resting the other edges against the tops of the cradle supports to form a v-shaped pocket for the boat. nail the 2-inch by 6-inch boards in place with the nail gun.. Hang the cradle into the stand. use a double pulley to hang the cradle as it is attached into the frame of both stands. use double block pulley to join the frame and the cradle. the tether rope is being tied between the eyelet located on the boat bottom and an eyelet located on the frame stretcher.. The boat in question is a coronet seafarer 27, 8.22m length, 3.16m beam with a .91m draft with a 4000kg displacement. i would like to build a cradle for the boat to sit in while it has work done which will safely support it while allowing people in and on it..

A boat cradle for my coming grandchild was a great idea. when i seen the site though, i had ideas on modifying a boat rocker i made some time ago. then i done some reading on the jordon boat site..
