For use in boat hulls, decks etc. veneered plywood: waterproof plywood with teak, ash and sapele decorative veneer. also teak/ash striped plywood for boat soles and decks. joining plywood sheets . plywood for boatbuilding is traditionally purchased in 8 foot x 4 foot sheets. in metric this rounds out to 2400mm x 1200mm.. Re: "sealing" a new wood floor in a aluminum boat rootbeer, i have a 19' bluefin sportsman that i am just about completed the restoration.. i relpaced the deck because of rot with 5/8" exterior plywood and finished it with rustoleum marine paint.. Greetings. i need a recommendation on the best method / product to seal marine plywood. i am having to replace the bottom of a 16 foot flat bottom river boat. the boat is about 20 years old and has been compromized and starting soaking up water. the original plywood was treated with "cop-o-tox" then assembled..

Sealing plywood for longer life. plywood is an important and stable building material, comprised of many different veneers glued together at right angles. these layers provide dimensional stability, but leave the edges, which expose all of the laminate sections, particularly vulnerable to water damage.. If you have too, you can park along the streets near vinoy park, and have one person drive the boat over to pickup the person driving the car. a little trouble, but at least you are right there. this is one of the most central boat ramps to the center of tampa bay, and it takes about 20 minutes on a calm day to cruise down to the skyway bridge..
